Tiffeni GoeselTiffeni Goesel will present on the use of a variety of materials and aspects of Froebel's Kindergarten method. The Froebel® Gifts & Occupations can be applied to classroom and homeschool settings. Attendees will learn how to connect the Gifts to Occupation activities to music, games, curriculum and the child's specific surroundings.

Miss Goesel has homeschooled children over fifteen years. Her approach has always been "as a guide on the side, not a sage on the stage" and has encouraged a child's education to unfold naturally through their own self-activity. Miss Goesel's approach merges Froebelian techniques with methodology.

Tiffeni J. Goesel was born a teacher. As a child, she enjoyed playing and dreaming of being a pioneer teacher in a one-room schoolhouse. She studied architecture and historic preservation and worked for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. She is a certified Waldorf grades teacher, has her B.A. in Education, and her Masters in the History of Education. She has been a nanny, tutor, Waldorf class teacher, camp counselor, home school teacher, and owned a natural toy store. While questioning the origins of Waldorf Education,

Tiffeni discovered Friedrich Froebel and has been on a Froebelian journey ever since. She has traveled to Germany for business, research, and to visit family. She conducted an international class on Friedrich Froebel’s Gift One at Sina Spielzeug in 2007 and attended several Froebel conferences. She has held Froebel Summer Camps from 2006 to 2009. Currently Miss Goesel conducts private classes for children, guides parents on their homeschooling adventures, writes personalized curriculum, and continues her life work of writing a Froebel Curriculum. She lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with her family, Old English Sheep dog, a feisty Cockatiel, antiques and her beloved books.
